This multivitamin/mineral was designed to support the nutritional needs of women ages 19 to 50. While the Best Life philosophy is “food first”—in other words, get your nutrients through a healthy diet—we recognize that there’s also a role for supplements. The formulation is based on the latest science, which means certain nutrients are at levels lower than some of the leading brands, because emerging research is showing that more is not always better. In addition, we’ve left out herbs and other unproven substances to make room for some of the minerals needed in larger amounts, like calcium and magnesium.

This multi is formulated to contribute to:

Bone Health. Adequate calcium and vitamin D, as part of a well balanced diet, along with physical activity, helps build and maintain good bone health.† By providing 25 percent of the RDA* (recommended dietary allowance) of calcium for women age 19 to 50, this multi, taken with a calcium-rich healthy diet, can help you meet your calcium needs. This supplement also provides the full RDA—600 IU—of vitamin D. Plus you’re getting nearly a third of the RDA for magnesium for a woman age 19 to 50. Women tend to fall short on this mineral, which not only contributes to bone health but also healthy immune function.†

Reproductive Health. Women who consume healthful diets with adequate levels of the B vitamin folate throughout their childbearing years may reduce their risk of having a child with a birth defect of the brain or spinal cord. Folate is found in certain fruits, dark green leafy vegetables, legumes, whole grain products. The form of this B vitamin used in supplements and fortified food is called “folic acid”. This multi provides 100 percent of the RDA for folic acid for women of all ages.†

Iron Intake. Iron is one of the nutrients essential for transporting oxygen to your tissues.† Women of child-bearing age tend to need higher levels of iron than other groups; this multi provides the full RDA of iron for women age 19 to 50.

Suggested use:

As a dietary supplement, adult women age 50 or younger and/or pre-menopausal take one (1) tablet daily with a meal, or as directed by a health care professional. As with any supplement, if you are pregnant, nursing or taking medications, consult your doctor before use.
